Graduation season is almost here, and for Richmond families, that means the countdown to valedictory ceremonies, prom, and the final days of high school has officially begun.
To celebrate the Class of 2026, I’m offering Valedictory Cap + Gown Mini Sessions at McMath Secondary School on Saturday, June 6th before the June 10th valedictory ceremony.
These sessions are designed for grads who want updated graduation portraits in their cap and gown without committing to a full grad session. They are quick, meaningful, and focused on capturing this milestone while the excitement is still fresh.
As a Richmond grad photographer, I know how important these final high school moments become over time. The cap and gown photos often end up framed in family homes long after graduation day has passed.

Each mini session includes:
10 minute outdoor session at McMath Secondary
Portraits in front of the school
A walk along the Wildcat footprints
Cap toss shots
5 high resolution edited digital images
Private online gallery
Option to purchase additional digital images and print products

Between ceremony arrival times, family dinners, flowers, and celebrations, there’s often very little time for relaxed photos. Scheduling portraits beforehand allows grads and families to enjoy the actual ceremony without the pressure of trying to capture everything that day.

Currently only Saturday spots are available. Sunday sessions may open depending on interest.
